The desert mountains south of the Snake offer great untapped hiking and driving potential. This section includes hikes in the Albion, Jim Sage, and Deep Creek Mountains. There are many more opportunities in the Cotterell, Black Pine, Sublette, Portneuf, and Preuss Ranges. The author hopes to add at least one such hike, in the Blue Spring Hills.
